Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is an enhanced version of the 2024 game, Super Mario Party Jamboree, released for the Nintendo Switch 2 on July 24, 2025. It’s the first Mario Party game on the new console and features new content and mechanics that take advantage of the Switch 2’s hardware.

The base game, which was originally released on the Nintendo Switch, returns with its classic board game formula, large selection of minigames, and a roster of 22 playable characters. The “Nintendo Switch 2 Edition” offers some visual enhancements and improved frame rates, but the most significant additions are housed in a new expansion called “Jamboree TV.”

Joy-Con 2 Mouse Controls: A new set of minigames that utilize the Joy-Con 2’s mouse functionality, offering inventive experiences like an on-rails shooter on a rollercoaster or a co-op climbing challenge.

CameraPlay:

With an optional camera accessory, players’ faces can be seen live on screen next to their characters. This feature is integrated into the core game and is also used in dedicated minigames where you might have to balance Goombas on your head or make specific facial expressions.

Microphone-driven Tasks:

The game uses the Switch 2’s microphone for minigames that require you to shout or make sounds to score points.

Additionally, Jamboree TV introduces new rulesets for the main party mode, such as “Tag Team Rules” which focuses on 2-vs-2 cooperative play, and “Frenzy Rules,” a fast-paced, five-turn mode perfect for quick sessions.

The game is available as a full-price title for new Switch 2 owners, but those who already own the original Super Mario Party Jamboree on Switch can purchase a discounted “upgrade pack” to access the new content and enhanced visuals. While some critics have noted that the integration of the new features feels more like a separate DLC than a unified experience, the new minigames and rulesets have been praised for adding fresh and exciting twists to the beloved party game formula.
